DA has rights to manipulate your work?

After seeing a screencap of the terms of service (viewable here: [link]) We have found that Deviant art has the right to distribute, publish, and MANIPULATE your hard work.

Now, some people have argued that deviant hasn't/won't ever do such a thing. Now, I may agree that they probobly won't, but they have non-exclusive rights to your work, in which, they can take LEGAL ACTION if they chose to... which they probobly won't.

HOWEVER, don't let my words make you feel better about it, for the ability to do such is at the sole discretion of deviantart.com. Do you want your work to be used whenever they want? They may not now, but they might in the future. Even if the day never comes where they begin manipulating YOUR work to make their advertisements better looking without your permission in order to bring in more clients, it's not right that they have the ability to do so (regaurdless of if they will or not.)

In order to make the last paragraph more easy to understand, not everyone is a literature buff...

Deviantart has legal rights to copy your art and use it in their public advertisements on other websites in order to bring in more money. It's YOUR art.. but THEY are the ones who get the cash. Fair? Hell no. Has Deviant art done it yet? NO! They have not... but it doesn't mean they won't... so do not agree to the terms of service.

Hello!! ^w^ You have wonderful art!!! So cool!! I just wanted to tell you that my friend Yuuen382 is not "faking" her art. And that you have alot of nerve to tell some one, whom you don't even know, that their "full of shit". Please take a closer look at the drawings of Gazette, and you'll see that they are a cover of Gazette done in photoshop. Now if you were an artist you would have known this, and not have called my friend such a horrible thing. And I'm serious, take another look. You will see the photoshop brushstrokes. Oh, and she's asian, and we all know asians can draw reallllly good. Oh, and if you back talk to me too, I'll have to report you to the harassment department. Thank you, and have a nice rest of your life.
